ABOUT US

The Eden Fine Art gallery exists since 2024 and is located inside the Eden Plaza Mall of Eden Island, Mahe, Seychelles.

The gallery presents the works of Seychellois artists, as well as international artists, in different stages of their career. Eden Fine Art gallery is the first contemporary art gallery in Seychelles to present in this scale, Seychellois as well as international art. We like to exhibit the work of international artists in Seychelles in order to further develop contemporary visual arts and stimulate international cultural exchange; to develop networking for Seychellois artists and all other people active in culture, at national, international, corporate, gallery and personal level. We promote the country of Seychelles through exhibiting in Seychelles the works of emerging and more established Seychellois artists, but also during the Venice Biennale in Italy.

We aim to be a platform for cultural knowledge and exchange of intellectual ideas. We like to learn from each others, embracing the different cultures which shape us and promoting the countries we are born in; cherishing our differences while creating awareness about our shared human values.
Are exhibited at Eden Fine Art gallery: paintings, sculptures, photos, drawings, but also video installations and even performances.

Among the international artists that we present at Eden Fine Art gallery are artists who worked in the past in close cooperation with the artist Rene Rietmeyer, founder of the European Cultural Centre, a cultural organisation originating back to 2002. The European Cultural Centre organises, among others, large Art and Architecture Biennial exhibitions in Venice, Italy.
Over the years, the ECC has grown significantly through cooperations with several different artists and the ECC Contemporary Art Collection. The ECC-Collection contains artworks which are donated to the Collection by various artists such as: Joseph Kosuth, Rene Rietmeyer, Hermann Nitsch, Nobuyoshi Araki, Arnulf Rainer, Takashi Suzuki and many others. 

Responsible for the Eden Fine Art gallery exhibitions are the board members of the Seychelles Cultural Foundation: Michelle Morden, Rene Rietmeyer, Nina Comini, Martin Kennedy, Mariaan Laubscher and Karyn Zialor. 
 

Gallery opening times are:
Monday to Friday 10am to 5pm
Saturday 10am to 3pm
